ILMEA (Illinois Music Education Association) is an organization that is committed to providing exceptional students with opportunities to perform with other students from across their ILMEA district and across the state. There are 2 divisions for orchestra: Junior High and High School.  Students who wish to perform in the ILMEA Festival, held annually in November, are required to audition in October each year.  Students who are interested should practice the required audition packet over the summer.  All students are encouraged to take an audition packet to practice.  The auditions to make the festival are highly competitive, and we encourage our students to seek additional help from their orchestra teacher or private instructor.  All students interested in auditioning must first complete a mock audition with Mrs. Beyer in early September.
